Custom Made 18KT White Gold 5.00 Carat Cushion Shaped Aquamarine Ring

This outstanding, designer inspired, custom made 18kt white gold ring features an icy blue 5.00 carat cushion shaped aquamarine, bezel-set set east/west on a platform, at its center. A trim of rope detailing surrounds the base of the bezel-setting. The band is high polished white gold and comes up to surround the rope detail, acting as a solid pedestal. Named after the colour of sea water, aquamarine is the name used for the mineral beryl within the colour range of greenish blue to blue. In ancient times, aquamarine was believed to be the treasure of mermaids. Sailors used the stone as a talisman to bring good luck on the open waters. The gem was used as a symbol of protection and fearlessness too. Although aquamarine gemstones can be easily confused with blue topaz, aquamarine is much more rare and valuable.
